We Are Expecting!

If you follow us on Facebook you probably already know, but we are expecting our first child! Baby Pierce Jobe will arrive in October and we are very excited about it! Kaley is through with the first trimester, so the nausea and fatigue has mostly gone away now, which is nice. Surprisingly, she doesn’t have any weird food cravings. Mostly fried chicken, french fries and chocolate, but those were her cravings before the pregnancy. So I'm not sure how much of that is the kid, and how much of that is just her using the child to get more of what she likes.

I have already started reading as many books as I can. Crib Sheet and Good Inside were both very insightful as well as the Front Row Dad podcasts. The nursery is nowhere near done and the house is far from baby proof. I'm really hoping that doing a little at a time will help the projects not feel so large once we get closer to the due date. But I'm fairly certain that day will sneak up on us before we have everything perfect.
